New Covenant Baptism

New Covenant Baptism

Hit Counter

"Baptism," to Jews, was a rite of conversion for those raised outside the faith-not for children of believing households. (That's why John's "BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE" was so controversial: It implied even lifelong Jews had come to need "CONVERSION" like pagans!) The word of God states that the Lord would someday count the covenant of circumcision that he made with the Jews as un- circumcision. The Jews would have no more favor with God because of the outward circumcision than an uncircumcised gentile. (Jer 9:25 KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are CIRCUMCISED WITH THE UNCIRCUMCISED.

Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again. (John 3:7 KJV) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST BE BORN AGAIN. The process of being born again would be the way that would be required in order to enter into the kingdom of God. New covenant baptism is a requirement of salvation. This new covenant of salvation would require repentance; remission of sins through water baptism, and that everyone would be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

Why Infant's Should Not Be Baptized

When one believes in infant baptism they apply water baptism under the new covenant in the same manner circumcision was applied unto Jewish infants under the law. Repentance of sins was not required of the Jews at this time. This is a very important factor as to why infant baptism does not agree with (Acts 2:38).

The Baptism of Repentance that John preached caused his death. It was unheard of that a Jew needed to be re-baptized. The Jews had been baptized in the Red Sea and were God's chosen people. Since they all had been baptized in the loins of their fathers the only procedure that needed to take place with their children, to fulfill the covenant, was circumcision.

The Baptism of Repentance never had been preached until John's ministry. John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus and was preparing the way for the new covenant baptism that would be applied in the name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ was a Jew and had been circumcised but this procedure that was required by the law would be done away with. Jesus now himself would fulfill all righteousness by being baptized by John. (Mat 3:15 KJV) And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to FULFIL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS. Then he suffered him.

The Pharisees had been circumcised but rejected the counsel of God not being baptized of John the Baptist. (Luke 7:30 KJV) But the PHARISEES AND LAWYERS REJECTED THE COUNSEL OF GOD against themselves, BEING NOT BAPTIZED OF HIM.

When Israel was baptized in the Red Sea no repentance was required. Everything required would be done by the obedience of the ceremonial law. Circumcision also was part of this law and was required by God under the Old Covenant. Also there was the office of the high priest, which also was taken forever by Jesus Christ. The Roman Catholic Church denies this fact and proclaims that Peter took this office by being the first Pope.

This false church and harlot has instituted many ways of the law back into the faith that they teach. Some of these false teaching have continued into the Protestant Churches and customs of the Christian Churches of today. Some of these teachings are: Pagan Holidays, Confessions unto Priests, Infant Baptism, Holy Water, Pagan Trinity, and Idol Worship.

The so-called early church fathers such as Polycarp, Irenaeus, Augustine, and many others taught this doctrine in the Roman Catholic Church. All of this doctrine is in no way validated by the word of God. When people assume things without valid scriptures from the word of God the true doctrine of Jesus Christ and the Apostles is changed.

These writings below by the Roman Catholic Theologians are not valid scriptural teachings.

The Early Catholic Church History

Polycarp (69-155), a disciple of the Apostle John, was baptized as an infant. This enabled him to say at his martyrdom, "eighty and six years have I served the Lord Christ" (Martyrdom of Polycarp 9:3). Justin Martyr (100-166) of the next generation states about the year 150, "many, both men and women, who have been Christ's disciples since childhood, remain pure to the age of sixty or seventy years" (Apology 1:15). Further, in his Dialog with Trypho the Jew, Justin Martyr states that Baptism is the circumcision of the New Testament.

Irenaeus (130-200), some 35 years later in 185, writes in Against Heresies II 22:4 that Jesus "came to save all through means of Himself - all, I say, who through him are born again to God - infants and children, boys and youth, and old men."

There is no way that a baby can be born again because it cannot repent. It is plainly stated by Peter that one must repent. (Acts 2:38 KJV) Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We must believe all that this verse states in order to be born again.

Repentance was not preached until John the Baptist. This should not be a hard thing to understand when revealed. (Mat 3:1 KJV) In those days came JOHN the BAPTIST, PREACHING in the wilderness of Judaea, (Mat 3:2 KJV) And saying, REPENT ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Church Councils and Apologists

Similar expressions are found in succeeding generations by Origen (185-254) and Cyprian (215-258), who reflect the consensus voiced at the Council of Carthage in 254. The 66 bishops said: "We ought not hinder any person from Baptism and the grace of God . . .especially infants . . . those newly born." Preceding this council, Origen wrote in his Commentary on Romans 5:9: "For this also it was that the church had from the Apostles a tradition to give baptism even to infants. For they to whom the divine mysteries were committed knew that there is in all person a natural pollution of sin which must be done away by water an the Spirit."

Elsewhere Origen wrote in his Homily on Luke 14: "Infants are to be baptized for the remission of sins." Cyprian's reply to a country bishop, Fidus, who wrote him regarding the Baptism of infants, is even more explicit. Should we wait until the eighth day as did the Jews in Circumcision? No, the child should be baptized as soon as it is born (To Fidus 1:2).

To prevent misunderstanding by rural bishops, perhaps not as well-schooled as other or even new to the faith, the sixteenth Council of Carthage in 418 unequivocally stated: "if any man says that newborn children need not be baptized . . . let him be anathema."

Augustine

Augustine (354-430) writing about this time in De Genesi Ad Literam, X:39, declares, "The custom of our mother church in baptizing infants must not be . . . accounted needless, nor believed to be other than a tradition of the apostles."

He further states, "If you wish to be a Christian, do not believe, nor say, nor teach, that infants who die before baptism can obtain the remission of original sin." And again, "Whoever says that even infants are vivified in Christ when they depart this life without participation in His sacrament (Baptism), both opposes the Apostolic preaching and condemns the whole church which hastens to baptize infants, because it unhesitatingly believes that otherwise they cannot possibly be vivified in Christ."

Specific directions, with detailed instructions, for the baptizing of infants were given by bishops to pastors and deacons during this era of Christian history. In the year 517, seven bishops men in Gerona, Catelina, and framed 10 rules of discipline for the church in Spain . The fifth rule states that ". . . in case infants were ill . . . if they were offered, to baptize them, even though it were the day that they were born . . ." such was to be done (The History of Baptism by Robert Robinson, [London: Thomas Knott, 1790], p. 269).

The foregoing pattern, practiced in both East and West remained customary in Christianity through the Dark and Middle Ages until modern times. Generally, the infant was baptized during the first week of life, but in cases of illness this took place on the day of birth. An example of this already comes from about 260 in North Africa in an inscription from Hadrumetum (Inscriptiones Latinae Christianae Veteres II, 4429-A):

It is very easy to study the early Roman Catholic Church's traditions and see where infant baptism comes from. This practice takes away the need for repentance doing away with the New Covenant baptism of Acts 2:38. The Roman Catholic tradition of baptism takes repentance and the name of Jesus Christ away from baptism.

Remember that new covenant baptism requires repentance, which was not required until John the Baptist started preparing the way for the new covenant baptism, which would be administered in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Roman Catholic's teach that the reason they know that infant's were baptized was because whole households were baptized, again they speculated. I am a man of fifty-four years old and all of my children are of age. No one can prove that any infants were baptized.

Brother's scriptures must be present in order to preach sound doctrine. This also applies to the ordaining of women as bishops, and deacons. There just is no scripture to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is a valid procedure that should be applied within the church body. Every doctrine that should be taught to the body of Christ should be established by the word of God.

No infant can go to hell. Paul states: (Rom 4:15 KJV) Because the LAW WORKETH WRATH: for WHERE NO LAW IS, there IS NO TRANSGRESSION.

All are born into sin but one must know what sin is before one can be held accountable for it. (James 4:17 KJV) Therefore to him that KNOWETH TO DO GOOD, and DOETH IT NOT, to HIM IT IS SIN.

The word of God tells us we are saved by faith and infant baptism contradicts the great fundamental principle of justification by faith through the works of our heavenly father. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. (Rom 10:17 KJV) So then FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

Under the Old Covenant circumcision through the covenant was a birthright unto every man of Israel. The Pharisee Jews were outraged that John preached that Jews had to repent. Repentance was not a requirement of Old Covenant Judaism. The religious leaders of John's day rejected this new teaching of repentance by John the Baptist.

The religious leaders being full of pride would not consider repentance they considered themselves God's people already. Many people have this same hard heartedness today and refuse to repent and be baptized.

Jesus taught his disciples to preach repentance also before the day of Pentecost. (Mark 6:12 KJV) And they went out, and preached that MEN SHOULD REPENT. This doctrine tore down the self- justification of the prideful religious leaders.

Jesus stated: (Luke 13:5 KJV) I tell you, Nay: but, EXCEPT YE REPENT, ye shall ALL LIKE WISE PERISH. Jesus did not lie when he stated all must repent and that all must be baptized. (Mark 16:16 KJV) He that BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. How can a baby believe? Baptizing babies is not obeying Acts 2:38. No repentance takes place!

When the children of Israel were baptized, unto Moses, when they passed through the Red Sea and the cloud they were separated from Egypt, which represented sin. The Egyptians being drowned represented sin being destroyed. The locust that God plagued Egypt with was also blown into the Red Sea. Paul was also told to wash away his sins by being baptized and by calling on the name of the Lord. In the book of Revelation the locusts represent demons.

(1 Cor 10:2 KJV) And WERE ALL BAPTIZED unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; (1 Cor 10:3 KJV) And DID ALL EAT THE SAME SPIRITUAL MEAT; (1 Cor 10:4 KJV) And DID ALL DRINK THE SAME SPIRITUAL DRINK: for THEY DRANK OF THAT SPIRITUAL ROCK that followed them: and that ROCK WAS CHRIST.

Remission of sin took place for Israel who had now been separated from all other people to be the chosen people of God. We must remember however there would be a remembrance of sin every year by the sacrifice of the red heifer.

We find that repentance of sin was never required under the law but that sacrifices of animals was required by God in order to bring them to the only blood that would remit sin once and for all. This blood was the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.

John the Baptist prepared the way of the Lord by starting the preaching of repentance unto the Jews. The Jews despised this new doctrine. (Mat 3:4 KJV) And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. (Mat 3:5 KJV) Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, (Mat 3:6 KJV) And were baptized of him in Jordan, CONFESSING THEIR SINS. (Mat 3:7 KJV) But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (Mat 3:11 KJV) I indeed BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER UNTO REPENTANCE: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

(Luke 3:3 KJV) And he came into all the country about Jordan, PREACHING THE BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE for the REMISSION OF SINS.

In the book of Luke we find a very important prophecy that reinforces the faith of baptism in Jesus name. (Luke 24:47 KJV) And that REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS SHOULD BE PREACHED IN HIS NAME among all nations, BEGINNING AT JERUSALEM. It is easy to understand from this verse why all that were ever baptized in the Word of God were baptized in Jesus name. It specifically states that the New Covenant baptism would be carried out in the name of Jesus Christ.

This New Covenant baptism would come through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It would be a new and living way that demanded that one had to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Repentance is a work that is required by God, as is baptism. Our works of flesh or the carnal mind do not save us but obedience of the word through faith does.

We are saved by the work of Jesus Christ, which was his death burial and resurrection. Repentance, and baptism in Jesus name is not a work of the carnal man but it is a work of the second Adam (SPIRITUAL MAN), which is the Lord Jesus from heaven that is our heavenly father. We being sons of God that make up the Son of God do the works of the spirit or our heavenly father. It is God's works that save us not our works of flesh.

(1 Pet 3:21 KJV) The like figure whereunto EVEN BAPTISM DOTH ALSO NOW SAVE US by the RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST.

(Rom 6:3 KJV) Know ye not, that so MANY OF US AS WERE BAPTIZED INTO JESUS CHRIST WERE BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH?

It is plain and simple facts that if you do not have to be baptized then you do not have to repent; both are required works of Christ Jesus. The faith that you do not have to be baptized does away with the New Covenant baptism and salvation through the resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ. Anyone that is not baptized does not take part in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(Heb 10:20 KJV) By a NEW AND LIVING WAY, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh

(Rev 7:17 KJV) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto LIVING FOUNTAINS OF WATERS: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

The blood of Jesus has become a mighty rushing river. We must take part in the works of Jesus Christ being part of his body. We must spiritually drink his blood and eat his flesh in order to take part of his resurrection.

(John 6:54 KJV) Whoso EATETH MY FLESH, and DRINKETH MY BLOOD, hath ETERNAL LIFE; and I will raise him up at the last day.

(John 4:14 KJV) But whosoever DRINKETH OF THE WATER that I shall give him shall NEVER THIRST; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a WELL OF WATER SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.

(John 6:35 KJV) And Jesus said unto them, I am the BREAD OF LIFE: he that cometh to me SHALL NEVER HUNGER; and he that BELIEVETH ON ME SHALL NEVER THIRST.

When we drink his blood we become a fountain of life through Jesus Christ. (John 7:38 KJV) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, OUT OF HIS BELLY SHALL FLOW RIVERS OF LIVING WATER.

There are three things that we must do in order to be saved. We must repent, be baptized in Jesus name, and receive the Holy Ghost. When we complete these requirements then we have received Jesus Christ our Lord by being born again.

There are many baptisms; occultists baptize and there are different formulas used by many other sects or denominations. The goal of this writing is to reveal the one true baptism that the word of God demands.

Everything that we do we are to do in Jesus name. (Col 3:17 KJV) And WHATSOEVER ye DO in WORD or DEED, DO ALL IN THE NAME of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

The following verse lets us know that there is only one true baptism. (Eph 4:5) ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM.

In order to receive this ONE BAPTISM we must take on the name of our husband. This is done when we are baptized in Jesus name. (2 Cor 11:2 KJV) For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have ESPOUSED you to ONE HUSBAND that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The water and the spirit agree and God requires both. Sins are remitted and the blood is applied at baptism. (1 John 5:8) And there are THREE that BEAR WITNESS in EARTH, the SPIRIT, and the WATER, and the BLOOD: and these three agree in ONE.

The ones that received the Holy Spirit, at Cornelius's house, were immediately baptized in water.

Acts 10:47) Can any man FORBID WATER, that these should not be BAPTIZED, which have RECEIVED the HOLY GHOST as well as we?

WATER BAPTISM IS NECESSARY!

Much Water - (John 3:23) And John also was BAPTIZING in Aenon near to Salim, because there was MUCH WATER there: and they came, and were baptized.

Into the water - (Acts 8:38) And he COMMANDED the chariot to stand still: and they WENT DOWN BOTH INTO the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he BAPTIZED HIM.

Out of the water - (Acts 8:39) And when they were come UP OUT of the WATER, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Taking part in the death of Jesus by being buried with him - (Romans 6:4) Therefore we are BURIED with him by BAPTISM into death: that like as Christ was RAISED UP from THE DEAD by the glory of the Father, even so WE also SHOULD WALK in NEWNESS OF LIFE.

Planted in water and RESURRECTED - (Romans 6:5) For if WE HAVE BEEN PLANTED together in the LIKENESS OF HIS DEATH; we shall be also in the LIKENESS of HIS RESURRECTION.

Since everyone does not know the one true baptism it pleased God to send preachers so that all could know the truth. A man must not only be called of God but God must also send him.

The Gentiles were COMMANDED to be baptized in the name of Jesus. (Acts 10:47) Can any man FORBID WATER, that these should not be BAPTIZED, which have RECEIVED the HOLY GHOST as well as we? (Acts 10:48) And he COMMANDED them to be BAPTIZED in the NAME OF THE LORD. Everyone knows that the name of the Lord is Jesus.

Importance Of Being Baptized In Jesus Name

Paul had the Ephesians BAPTIZED OVER - (Acts 19:3) And he said unto them, Unto WHAT then were ye BAPTIZED? And they said, Unto JOHN'S BAPTISM. (Acts 19:4) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him, which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. (Acts 19:5) When they HEARD THIS, they were BAPTIZED in the NAME of the LORD JESUS. This is the New Covenant baptism that was given in the verse of Luke 24:47.

No other name for salvation - (Acts 4:12) Neither is there SALVATION in ANY OTHER: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under HEAVEN given among men, whereby we must be SAVED.

The scriptures that are given show how the true believers interpreted them. The apostles knew what most religious people of today fail to recognize that the name of Jesus is the family name. (Eph 3:15) Of whom the WHOLE FAMILY in HEAVEN and EARTH is NAMED.

The Thief On The Cross

Remember that when the thief on the cross was forgiven that he was under the law. Jesus had not died, been buried, nor had he rose from the dead. Baptism under the New Covenant represents one taking part in Jesus' death, burial, and his resurrection.

In order to be saved you must repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus. Do not let anyone deceive you that baptism is not necessary.

The 11th edition Vol. 3 of the Britannica Encyclo.

The Baptismal Formula was changed from using the name of Jesus Christ according to (Acts 2:38) in the Second Century by the Roman Catholic Church. The 11th edition Vol. 3 of the Britannica Encyclopedia page 365 confirms this.

5. The Baptismal Formula - The Trinitarian formula and trine immersion were not uniformly used from the beginning nor did they always go together. The Teaching of the Apostles, indeed, prescribes baptism in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but on the next page speaks of those who have been baptized into the name of the Lord- THE NORMAL FORMULA OF THE NEW TESTAMENT. In the 3rd century baptism in the name of Christ was still so widespread that Pope Stephen, in opposition to Cyprian of Carthage, declared it TO BE VALID. From Pope Zachariah (Ep. x.) we learn that the Celtic missionaries in baptizing omitted one or more persons of the Trinity, and this was one of the reasons why the church of Rome ANATHEMATIZED THEM; Pope Nicholas, however (858-867), in the Responsa adconsulta Bulgarorum, allowed baptism to be valid tantum in the nomine Christi, as in Acts. Basil, in his work on the Holy Spirit condemns, BAPTISM INTO THE LORD ALONE” AS INSUFFICIENT. Baptism “ into the death of Christ “ is often SPECIFIED BY THE ARMENIAN FATHERS as that which ALONE WAS ESSENTIAL.

Ursinus, an African monk (in Gennad. de Scr. Eccl. xxvii.), Hilary (de Synodis, lxxxv.), the synod of Nemours (A.D. 1284), also asserted that baptism into the name of Christ alone was valid. The FORMULA OF ROME is I BAPTIZE THEE IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, and HOLY SPIRIT.” In the East, “so-añd-so, the servant of God, is baptized,” &c. The Greeks add Amen after each person, and conclude with the words, “ Now and ever and to aeons of aeons, amen.''

We first find in Tertullian TRINE IMMERSION explained from the TRIPLE INVOCATION, Nam ncc semel, scd ter, adsingula nomina in personas singulas tinguimur: Not once, but THRICE, for the SEVERAL NAMES into the SEVERAL PERSONS, are WE DIPPED” 9adv. Prax. Xxvi.). And Jerome says: '' We are THRICE PLUNGED that the one sacrament of the TRINITY may be shown forth.” On the other hand, in numerous fathers of East and West, e.g. Leo of Rome, Athanasius, Gregory of Nyssa, Theophylactus, Cyril of Jerusalem and others, TRINE IMMERSION was regarded as being symbolic of the three days' entombment of Christ; and in the Armenian baptismal rubic this interpretation is enjoined, as also in an epistle of Macarius of Jerusalem addressed to the Armenians (c. 330). In Armenian writers this interpretation is further associated with the IDEA OF BAPTISM INTO THE DEATH OF CHRIST.

TRINE IMMERSION then, as to the ORIGIN of which Basil confesses his ignorance, must be older than either of the rival explanations. These are clearly etiological, and invented to explain an existing custom, which the CHURCH HAD ADOPTED FROM ITS PAGAN MEDIUM. For pagan lustrations were normally THREEFOLD; thus Virgil writes (Aen. vi.2 29): Ter socios pura circumtulit unda. Ovid (Met. vi. 189): and Fasli, iv. 315), Persius (ii. 16) and Horace (Ep. i. i. 37) similarly speak of trine lustrations and on the last mentioned passage the scholiast Acro remarks: He uses the words thrice purely, because people in expiating their sins, plunge themselves in thrice.” Such examples of the ANCIENT USAGE ENCOUNTER US EVERYWHERE IN GREEK and LATIN ANTIQUITY.

When a Catholic prays for healing, the blessing of their food or any other thing they do it by making the sign of the cross (STARTED IN THE BABYLONIAN MYSTERIES) in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. This formula was added by Rome to strengthen the ungodly doctrine of the Trinity. I will place copies of all research documents at the end of this book so that you can read them yourself.

Last Commandment Of Jesus

(Mat 28:19 KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, BAPTIZING THEM in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: This verse states name and not names. Jesus declared this one name unto the whole world.

Jesus came in his father's name. All legitimate sons carry the name of their father. (John 5:43 KJV) I am come in my FATHER'S NAME, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his OWN NAME, him YE WILL RECEIVE.

Jesus plainly states his name and the father's name are the same. Be baptized into Christ Jesus and become a member of the body of the Son of God.

New Testament Formula for Baptism

(Acts 2:38 KJV) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(Acts 8:12 KJV) But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. (Acts 8:13 KJV) Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. (Acts 8:14 KJV) Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: (Acts 8:15 KJV) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (Acts 8:16 KJV) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they WERE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.)

(Acts 10:47 KJV) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 10:48 KJV) And he commanded them to be BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

(Acts 19:3 KJV) And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. (Acts 19:4 KJV) Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. (Acts 19:5 KJV) When they heard this, they were BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.

(Acts 22:16 KJV) And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the NAME OF THE LORD.

(Mat 28:19 KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Isaiah Foretold Of This Great Name!

(Isa 9:6 KJV) For unto us a CHILD IS BORN, unto us A SON IS GIVEN: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and HIS NAME shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE.

We all know that the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost is Jesus! To be born again you must repent, be baptized for the remission of sin in the name of Jesus Christ.
